The pillars of our philosophy

Have you ever wondered what inspired us to run an Alpinhotel at 1,900 metres above sea level?

Some might jokingly ask: “Why make it simple when you can make it complicated?” Although this ironic Tyrolean saying may well be true, it is not the answer to the question. What drives us, what gives us the energy for our endeavours every day, and what ultimately makes us happy goes much deeper. Here are three reasons why we do what we do:

• A love of nature. For us, the picturesque forests and high, glacier-framed valleys are the very best that Mother Earth has to offer, and we are delighted to share our fascination with you.
• The mountain experience. To us, the mountains are more than just a landscape; they are our sanctuary, our home, and our source of strength. Trite? Perhaps, but it’s our heartfelt truth.
• Tradition. Our hotel in Ötztal has been in family hands since 1728. It gives us great pleasure to continue our family tradition of warmth and hospitality.
